LCM Cropped

Last Chance Mercantile

What began in 1991 as a monthly auction of reusable goods, today is a favorite shopping venue for families, artists, teachers, students and DIY folks. Open Tuesday through Saturday the LCM offers an extensive inventory of one-of-a-kind items ranging from books to boats, scrap lumber to furniture, clothing and household treasures. Shoppers can also find self-service landscape products, compost bins and supplies, along with free household paint and products, free electronic waste drop off and a recently opened CRV Bottle and Can Buy Back Center.

Reduce, REUSE, Recycle

We don’t know of any other landfill where you will find a reuse store at the entrance.

Rather than throwing “away” reusable goods, the Last Chance Mercantile (LCM) is the place to donate them. The LCM is not a 501(c )3 nonprofit, so tax donation receipts are not issued, however, by donating re-useable items the consumer saves the cost of disposal and the items continue their life as a resource vs. a throw away. Builders can also get “credit” towards meeting CalGreen or LEED waste diversion requirements. Donations and purchases support local jobs and our “green” economy.
