Ag plastic recycling diverts thousands of tons of plastic from disposal

This Fall the MRWMD is working with a recycler of agricultural plastics to divert nearly 3,000 tons of fumigation plastic, drip tape, and mulch film from landfill disposal. Agricultural plastic is bulky, heavy and hard to manage. Diverting this material to a recycler conserves a significant volume of landfill space. These agricultural plastics will be recycled into pots, planters and other agricultural products.
